Usually sells for $1100....sometimes it is marked up to 1400-1500. Just wait to it comes back down. The Kenmore 79043 is reportedly the same fridge made by LG BUT INCLUDES SCERSL UPGADES OVER THIS MODEL.

My new LG refrigerator gurgles like crazy--and makes several other strange noises. And twice so far when I opened the door when it was gurgling the freaking thing powered itself off and back on. And since the ice cube maker is not connected and I verified it is switched off it is not the ice cube maker making the noises. I'm and older guy and all my other refrigerators never made all these crazy noises or randomly powered themselves off/on. I am beginning to get a bad feeling that my LG refrigerator is a lemon. I'm now worried--I better not have just paid $1400 for a piece of junk!

At what setting did you achieve those temperatures inside. Was that with it on the coldest setting and was there anything in the refrigerator.

The buttons that cover the holes on the front of the fridge are flat grey plastic? They couldn't at least do chrome plastic? I noticed this when looking at the floor model in-store and thought maybe something went wrong on theirs...

I hate how hard to clean that bottom freezer is. Too many screws and parts to remove, not counting the bending part on the floor to wipe inside. I will avoid getting these type of fridges next time.

i would not want a bottom freezer because if you do ice cube trays it would be too hard to put on the bottom
