The Middle Class Food Shortage Is Real | SHTF

There truly is a food shortage out there and the people that are experiencing it the most are the lower and middle classes.

What I have realized after talking with hundreds of different community members from all across the country is that the food shortages are out there. The only difference is that the higher income earners don’t see all of these shortages because these are not the items that they are typically buying. But the people that are buying the less expensive items are seeing the shortages, because the just so happen to be the less expensive items...

Exactly, how I feel. Inflation for someone on disability and don't qualify for snap, Liheap or money it's difficult.

When anything becomes too expensive, I choose an alternative and cook it myself. Lentil wraps instead of bread, chickpeas instead of chicken, and homegrown kale instead of a forlorn trip to ye olde grocery store.

It's not a shortage when you can't get your strawberries in the dead of winter or your coffee from Peru. That's a distribution issue.

There are a lot of foods under the heaven. You don't know what you can eat. And it's not in a grocery store. And it doesn't have chemicals on it. People can live like they did back in the days of the great depression.
