It's called blue light on japan cuz back in time they used color blue instead of green but changed to green later cuz you could see it further and better, but the name remainded.

Green light in Japanese is 'blue light', but
in Mandarin, the '青信号's '青' means green

In most languages, blue and green are called the same color/name. I don’t really know why, but I think it’s because a lot of people from the past couldn’t see the difference between the two. 🤷‍♀️😊
