As for me, I traded in my 2020 Scout Bobber after two years for a 2022 Springfield Dark Horse. I loved the Bobber. It was the first bike I owned/rode in 27 years.I wanted more comfort on the 500 mile + trips I take. And with the springfield, I have storage, I saw a youtube vidio of a young man who just purchased a used bobber.. Turned out to be my trade in. He was very happy with the mods.

It’s funny, this is an entry bike in the U.S., I’m in the UK and a Scout Bobber is my dream bike.

There may be more Scout Bobbers for sale right now because of the new model year with people upgrading to something newer or larger or different in some way. One thing I've noticed is even with the increased market, the prices for used Scouts aren't coming down all that much if at all. I think that's a good sign that Scouts will still hold their value into the future.

I owned 2 different Scout Bobbers. INCREDIBLE machine! I sold 2nd one and upgraded to the Chief Bobber. WISH I could have kept both. Long Live Indian motorcycles.

Nicely done video. I have 2021 regular Scout. I think in some cases people are not doing any, or very little research before purchase, and then are surprised after ownership. Over 50 years, I have owned several bikes (mainly HD). I no longer tour (over 120 mi.) or do any overnight trips. I enjoy the Scout for being nimble in town, but also goes down the interstate easily. My 2 cents

Hello IronnBornRider, I am on my third bike, a 2022 black Scout Bobber. For this bike, after a number of years of not owning one, I did my research and HAPPILY chose this bike. I went in eyes-wide-open and I LOVE IT. MOST days that I ride, i get compliments.
I did make modifications as I have done with every bike and car I have owned to make it my own.
Starting with the Indian Mid-Wind Deflector and Luggage rack additions. I traded out the wide Indian foot pegs(they drag in turns) for narrow Joker Machine race pegs. Shaved 10lbs off and added 5 horsepower with RCX 3" mufflers. And finally, switched to a much more comfortable Saddleman Solo Seat.

I feel like anyone who got rid of their bobber because they did not like it simply did not do their homework going in.
There is PLENTY of info online to choose the right bike and the next step is to go out, see it and sit on it .
Absolutely love going out on my bike!!!!

My cousin bought a brand new 22 model for his first bike at 45 years old.
He is 6ft2 and almost 300 pounds. As soon as he got comfortable riding, he bought a slightly used ultra glide.
He thought about selling it, but he doesn't have to, and it's more fun to ride on shorter get arounds.
The stator was out on my bike, and I was able to ride the scout on our rides.
It's the fastest bike and the smallest displacement, everyone is riding baggers. I was pretty worn out after about 4 hours on it compared to my bike,
but honestly it made up for that in being a fun bike that feels as light as a 650 or something.
It surprised me how it really wanted to dive into curves at 60+ miles an hour.
He is keeping it just because he is able to, and another friend was down about a month after me and joe let him use it then as well.
So, we are all happy as hell that he chose to keep it.
OH, YEAH. He bought some no name 4in. slip-on's that are black with cuts in the end exposing the silver metal color at amazon for like $250?
Those things sound so deep and throaty. He took it in for its first service and the dudes at the dealer were pretty impressed with the sound compared to the reindhearts that they were trying to sell him. Just a mean sound. Possibility too loud for some people when you neutral rev it,
not any of us, and it's not bad at all at speed. That thing was so quiet stock and that motor is so damn smooth, it almost gave the feeling of it being an electric bike. You move quickly in silence. Lol.

I want a Scout Bobber, but people want like 90+% of lot value. No point in buying used at those prices.

I'm from the UK, I had a 18 Scout, loved the bike, sounded amazing and got a lot of attention, however, super uncomfortable. I'm 6ft 4 so was hurting my lower back and shoulders with the awkward riding angle.

A lot of people sell their first bike rather quickly. You just don't really know when you get your first bike if that's what you really want. I thought I wanted a cruiser-ish motorcycle so I got a Vulcan S as my first bike. Well, as it turns out I like to do wheelies, I like to ride on some dirt roads, I like to lean in when I do my turns. What I was really looking for, and I didn't know it, was a naked bike. So I got rid of the Vulcan and picked up a MT-07 instead and I'm loving it.

Not a bobber but I bought a scout 1200 brand new in 2019 and I love this bike so much that I will never get rid of it. I put 10k miles on it within the first 6 months of owning it and I recently had the 20k service done. I actually just got home from a ride as I saw this video

I'm months away from being 60 yrs of age and have ridden most of my life. Owned many bikes. I will say I think the number one issue is the last 4 years of our economy tanking and the cost of living. I don't think it's the scout bobber specifically as I've seen plenty of bikes for sale. I will say I've had a blast customizing it and love the bobber because I'm vertically challenged. I can't see myself getting rid of it. I could see my self upgrading and adding to the collection with another Indian. Currently upgraded the rear shocks and exhaust. Good video, BTW.

Last year my cousin bought a brand new one for his first bike ever t 44 years old.
That is a blast to ride, and it feels like a 450cc bike between the legs, it's very light and fun in the twisties, but she will get up am boogie when you twist that throttle.
He just sold it with 2, 200 miles on it and bought a 2024 Indian Challenger in that matte red color.
He is 6ft 2in, and probably 260lbs, so he always looked like a man riding a youth bicycle from behind.
That challenger is quick as hell for a big bike.

Something nobody mentions, but all the Indian V-Twin liquid cooled motors sound like a full Italian race bike, or a Suzuk TL1000 (a nasty sounding bike that was scary to be around when they were in their prime). Harley messed up a key piece of their signature, their newest liquid cooled motors don't sound as good. The best sounding motors are are the single crank pin V-Twin engines, but Indian managed to make their modern liquid cooled engines have their very own snarl, which is a beautiful sound.

I am selling my 2020 Scout Bobber because I want to move up to the Indian Chief. I returned to riding with the Bobber but after 3 years I'm ready for a bigger bike. Also, the new Indian features like 'Ride Command" and the 116 engine just couldn't keep me away. I would recommend the Bobber to anyone looking for great styling and ease of maneuvering. Yes, the ride could be more forgiving but I only weigh 150lbs. so that was not an issue for me. Indian is making a quality product whatever model you choose.

Traded mine in for utility, comfort, and technology of the Chief Darkhorse because it does everything it eas designed to do very well. If I want to go fast, I grab my ZH2 or Aprilia Tuono V4. If I only had ONE bike, the Scout Bobber is a great pick if you do a few upgrades for comfort. It's a good all 'rounder. Basically the Glock of the cruiser world. It doesn't do excellent at everything, but it does do everything, and do it well for what it is.

where im at, its mostly people upgrade after realizing how nice the bigger indains are. they want more comfort, and sometimes just a gas guage lol. for me, i have carpal tunnel and i needed a bike with cruise control, so i got a chieftain, but i still have my rogue and ride it often.

It's just ergonomics and wanting a bigger badder bike honestly. Saving up for a sport chief

I have a coworker with a 2024 scout who is considering selling. I ride it most days during my lunch break and I have to say I absolutely love this bike. I told him that if he gets serious about selling it to please let me know first. Such a fun and comfortable ride
