Amazing vocal control from both artists to take a usually “big” song and bring it down to a gentle love song. Therein lies the utterly romantic sound of Julio Iglesias. Julio Iglesias had become very popular in the 1980s and part of that popularity was a duet with Willie Nelson called "To All The Girls I've Loved Before." As improbable a duet that might have seemed, it worked. It worked so well that even Johnny Carson had sung a parody of it. This duet featuring Julio with Dionne Warwick is not only improbable, it worked very well. Dionne Warwick and Julio Iglesias made a fantastic duet and made it into gold..."Solid Gold" gold.
