Aww your progress made me so happy! I'm 20 and never got my tongue tie clipped. I was so proud of you when you pointed your tongue upwards lol! I haven't seen a video like this before, so it's cool to see there's an actual difference in your face and jaw! I don't have any diagnosed speech problems, but I often get told that I do "talk weird" or have an "accent". Maybe I'll think more about getting it clipped! Thanks for the video, hope you're doing well! :)

I am so happy for you. I really see a big difference. I just had my procedure done 2 days ago. I mainly got it done for TMJ and sleep apnea. I hope I get awesome results like you!

Thank you for making this video. I had my son doing the surgery yesterday. Both of us are suffering now. I’m glad to know it is a right decision.

I had mine done 3 days ago through scalpel and suture method.I didnt had any speech problems but I got that done as my doctor suggested it would help my TMJ.3 days post surgery, still cant speak properly & on only liquids.Hoping it will get better soon...
Thanks for sharing this video, I see a lot of improvement in your posture & flexibility.

Would you say your posture has improved because of this procedure?

Did you have to do myofunctional therapy before having your release done? My dentist wants me to try out another appliance for TMJ (my jaw looks very similar to how yours did except mine is extremely hypermobile and has a lot of damage and it has worn my teeth a lot). I just really feel like I'm a case where we need to do a release asap, along with myo and not after I'm done with it or after I experience months of no progress. I've been trying exercises for so long on my own and they're practically impossible with all the tongue tie restriction

Very interesting. Thanks for posting. Have you looked into “mewing” and orthotropics and how tongue posture, craniofacial structure and positioning, neck and shoulder positioning, and several other features are all interconnected?

Did you get it cut by scalpel or laser?

This seems so strange to me :)
My results after 1 week of my frenectomy are less than what you had even before. but I had a severe one. my tongue couldn't even go outside of my mouth (at all).
I don't think I can get more than that, but I'll go on trying to strech what seems to be unstretcheable!

I’m going to get mine cut as an adult as well! Debating if I want to do sleep study, Invisalign, then myo therapy, and release with more myo (plan 1) or, plan 2 which is those but no Invisalign… Still in fence about getting g trays because I have a “great smile” and aligned teeth. Goal for trays is to widen my molar width from 32mm to 37mm. Curious if I do plan 2, with a released tongue, where would my “extra tongue” go without a wider area above it? 😅

The before and 4weeks looked pretty much identical to me and the middle looked a smidge different but probably just from being so soon after surgery idk I'm no doctor. I'm glad youre happy with your results that's all that matters really. I wish you a good recovery and good luck on your journey. For myself though I will wait till some major studies are done and prove the surgery really helps like so many people think. No major studies have been done that I can find that prove it helps besides in severe tongue tie situations. Mine is only a moderate tie though. Best wishes
