Battling it out in flight who has the better footage in this comparison?

No post edits but normally I would have especially with the added magenta in the Nano. The speed of the Nano was challenged by wind as well so it falls behind a bit in flight.

Brilliant work, I still think there is much bias against the nano just because its not DJI, I really prefer the sharpness of the Autel and the mini 3 is a tad just oversaturated.

Great video Chris. You probably remember I’m an Autel fan over DJI. The Nano Plus holds its own well against the DJI Mini 3 Pro in my world. Different parts of the video show one better than the other then the other better than the one. With an Autel drone I always feel the video and photos are closer to what I see than a DJI drone. Again, an opinion of mine. Shared it buddy in Old Farts and an Autel drone group. If YouTube was sending me notifications I’d be sharing more. I think you know that.

Another great comparison Chris. I know you've been working on drones since you could walk :) So my question is can the Autel camera be put on the Mini 3? Even if it could with the right ribbon cable connection would it work?
For me the Autel is over sharpened and the Mini 3 is too soft. Wish someone would come out with a camera that balances both and can be attached to the Mini 3. Keep 'em coming!

I have both and prefer the Autel. 1. Made in USA 2. resolution is better. (sharper images) 3. color is more accurate

They're both very good, but I think the Autel's image quality is a bit better.

The image from the nano appears much brighter and sharper in the greens than the mini and the other way round in the blues is that the sensor or was it just sunnier

I like them both.... Each has its strengths and weaknesses.
I own the mini 3 Pro and am very happy with it.

Just checked price and availability here in UK.
Less than I was expecting buy again the mini 3 Pro with the new controller is still my favourite
So far the 700 nits has been sufficient.

Can't say one is better than the other. The Autel is definitely sharper and much warmer, almost yellow. The Mini 3 colors look more natural.

Another great comparison Chris. Definitely see that magenta in the Autel but the video looks a tad sharper. The mini 3 has a better overall appearance without any tweaks. Thank you for putting this together.

Great comparison and wonderful scenery. Both are great cameras but I don’t like the over sharpening on the Autel.

Put your..face, or any object IN FRONT OF THE DRONES CAMERAS. 1-2 m. Distance.
Then you will understand how "mobility" is the image they produce. Some will be excited, because they think that mobile cameras and "digitalization" are the reality..
Those who in photography and video will understand...

Excellent comparison and great work !!! The images are absolutely eloquent, the images of the Nano + are much sharper and those of the Mini3 too saturated; for me at the camera level there is no comparison! Then in general the Mini3 has better features, but there is really no match here !!

At first glance the dji footage does look better. But I have to consider this footage was taken on different days most likely. The greener grass may just be that it was actually just greener at that time if year and then maybe even brighter because it was actually brighter that day ? My observations came into question when I noticed that the garage doors in the while garage were open on the DJI footage and closed on the autel footage and I thought there's no way the grass is so green on in and yellow im the other that's too much a difference to be strickly image quality with both units having very similar spects . Maybe Try putting them up in the air on same day and even time of year or st least day perhaps the showdes very distinctly show on the dji so thst being said itvdeff had a chance to beat out autel in b a proper comparison still ! .. Maybe I'm mistaken ? I'm always open to that as well. If not can't wait to see the Encore. Tks

I prefer the colors and dynamic range better, on the Nano.

I think the nano looked more natural. The Mini looked over saturated. It did make things pop though. Just up to the style you personally like. Both are more than capable.

Chris, very good comparison👍👌👊😀I also own both the DJI Mini 3 Pro with the screen controller and the Autel Nano+. Both are very good, but the colors from the DJI Mini 3 Pro are more natural in my personal opinion and filming in D-Cinelike and editing with a good Lut is great. Filming in auto mode the Autel Nano+ slightly better in my opinion and also in low light the Nano+ wins. The flying capabilities of the Mini 3 are certainly better and the drone is more quiet. See also the video’s on my channel made with both drones. So at the end I slightly prefer the Mini 3 pro! Greetings from 🇳🇱
