First, I hated Wellick, but the more I watched the more I understood him... His death felt like Snape from Harry Potter, it was so special and emotional, a true masterpiece!

look up "will o the wisp" its part of folklore in scandinavia, its basically a light that travellers see, supposidly its a spirit that guides the dead to the afterlife, i think this fits perfectly with tyrell as hes swedish.

Tyrell gave me American Psycho vibes the entire first season. I still don't understand him

I disagree. Tyrell was a Linux user, he would never see the Windows' BSoD.

Damn, the blue light being a bluescreen just instantly made sense as you showed it. Very well thought out video, great theory :D

I'm sure you are correct with this, great explanation but I still feel let down by killing Tyrell off so quickly without having much impact in the last season. He was my favourite character if only for the fact that he gives the perfect contrast to Elliot

Screw angela, tyrell was a lit character.

That was Tyrell's Blue screen of death even though he was on KDE himself

Tyrell was easily one of the best characters in the series

This is perfect. We just finished the series and couldn’t come up with what the heck he saw. This makes perfect sense!! Closure! 🙌🏼

Went through a binge of the entire show after hearing people talk about it during the run. Just finished the last episode today. Then immediately started looking for videos with potential answers to a few questions I've held onto in the hopes the last few episodes would give explanation. I thought Tyrell's moments in the forest may have been hallucinatory, but wasn't quite sure. Thank you for sharing your take on it. 😊

I always thought the blue lightwas his phone screen. At the start of the next episode opens with Elliot picking up Tyrell's phone with his screen saver being Johanna an his kid. It was Tyrell looking at the people he loved and did everything he did for.

I'm watching Mr. Robot for a second time. Ever since the original airing I always wondered what the blue glow in the forest was. Tonight I decided to find the answer and I found you. Thank for clearing that up. It makes so much sense and makes me appreciate the series even more. What a wonderful piece of tv art. Cheers.

I felt so bad for him throughout the show, he was manipulated by his wife, and forced into isolation, and then found that his wife and child were gone. and on top of that he died for nothing

When he first took a life he felt power, the wolves howling in my opinion was his inner instinct, his power, he gave up to his power (by walking toward the wolf and letting it kill him) he wanted to be the good guy, that was his destiny

I don't know why, but since we saw their car hit a deer and kill it, I thought the creepy sound they heard was actually that dead deer's calf calling for its mother. What sounded creepy and terrifying to them was actually just the last struggle of a baby elk calling for its missing mother. It's like a nice metaphor for the subject of the Mr robot series. We can confirm that the sound has nothing to do with hallucinations, from hearing the same sound over and over again when Tyrell and elliot were together and healthy.
I mean, I don't know why, but when I watched this video and remembered that scene, these thoughts came to my mind.

This episode reminded me of Pines Barrens from the Sopranos

That vision of Tyrell in that "other universe" is the "inner world" for a DID system- many have a false world inside to rationalize things that are experienced externally- it's a very common thing in DID.

Tyrell's death didn't make any sense me at first, it was so sudden, but yet it still felt fitting to me at the time. The scene was just so beautifully shot!
