Screw Back Pool Practice Routine | Draw shot practice | Pool School

Показать описание
This pool practice routine helps you work on your screw back shot ( or draw shot ) as well as your straight cueing. By applying backspin you attempt to screw the cue ball back in a straight line which also makes you focus on your cue action.
The shots are carried out on a 7ft Supreme Winner UK 8 ball table

Also could space out 5 or 6 balls as markers parallel to the shot line and try to screw back in line with anyone of those balls mixing it up every time. Helps judge and control speed of screw back. Great video again. 👍

Good stuff. Nice to have the big screw shot in your locker but I suppose that you shouldn’t really leave yourself a shot like that during a match! I find that it is the subtle short distance screw shots where you have very small margins for error due to the closeness of the balls to be a challenge! I am going to put markers along the line of travel that you suggested to see if I can control the amount of screw back that I need. Keep up the good work!!!

Nice video again. I know you don’t play blackball rules but as you have such a good setup would you consider making a video on the “skill shot” Maybe some slow motion animation on what the balls are doing during a properly executed shot. It can be confusing as to what spin to apply to the cue ball to affect the object ball - if any. Thanks.

Hi there great channel, I was just curious to ask if you would know how much room you need at a minimum for a 7 x 4 table. You look like you have a loads of room. I've bought a house with a large conservatory but during this lock down I've not way of getting to a table to measure it out.

Silly question - what dimensions is your room to fit your pool table? I'm trying to work out how much room I need. Thanks Joe

Can you cue with a full length cue when a ball is on the cushion where the wall sticks out slightly? Thinking of getting a table but would have the same issue

Hey! I'm staying in Hamburg, Germany and with the lockdown my cueing has come to a halt. I am looking to buy the exact pool table in this video. Is there any links where I can buy this table here in Germany and get it delivered during the epidemic, thanks🎱👌

Did you get this table new or second hand? Is there anything you recommend looking out for when buying a table?

Personally I find the screw back shot fairly easy, it's about timing and the cue action. However I can never generate the desired cue ball reaction when using top spin

Got to remember not to get use to screwing into the pocket because it will become a habit. I tend to go in off alot. But a very useful video 👍

Only issue with this routine is that it encourages players to jump up on their shot trying to move the cue and their body away from the shot because of the cue ball spinning back. This in turn, can create bad habits in a players cue action.
