5'9" is only on the short end if you're a fashion/runway model. I'd love to be tall so I didn't have to ask people to get stuff off of the top shelf for me (or find something in another aisle to get it down or my umbrella). Speaking of proportions, hats are another thing. If you're petite/short pay attention to brim size.
