The inline pumps of your dreams...

I've been running Walbro 255 (GSL392BX) pumps for years on all sorts of project cars but on our LS swap 1969 VW Beetle (the pig) - I'm tired of listening to the super loud whine of the fuel pump. To fix this issue I recommend replacing it with a MSD 2225 pump. I now prefer these pump because they seem to last well and are substantially quieter. Here's quick review of both electric pumps and we bust out the decibel reader to assist with the myth of different mounting positions makes things quieter. As a quick reminder - remember the Walbro 190 pump is a good inbetween option sound wise!

If it works for you, the simplest solution is the best one! You will know when you do some hard corners, aggressive acceleration/deceleration if the pump gets starved for fuel. I am running dual facet 480532 lift pumps to fill a small surge tank with two Bosch 044 fuel pumps mounted vertically inside. Pretty quiet, reliable, redundant, and capable of 1200hp on gasoline or 800 on E85. Baffled efi conversion fuel tanks with even big fuel pumps inside have issues with fuel starvation on high-G loads on muscle cars. Keep up the great work!

Hope ya'll enjoy the quickness, fastness, as well as cheapness - cheers!

Why not use a seperation tank with the high pressure injection pump inside and a low pressure pump in the main fuel tank?
I really cannot understand how the ls is so versitile it fits everywhere and everything.
