My first flight in 2 months! IFR Flight Vlog

Показать описание
First flight after 2 months - flying a Cirrus SR22 IFR and practising an ILS and VOR approach with a hold over the airport. Watch the flight, see the avionics, hear ATC calls as I reset my currency ready for more flying in Echo Yankee Zulu.

This is just a quick IFR flight vlog on what was The Perfect Day! Lots of cockpit footage, and you can listen to LiveATC radio calls. If you're doing ifr flight training you'll enjoy this video.

Thanks for the shout out Stefan! Slowing down has helped me so many times over the years ... such an easy fix to so many problems. Keep up the great work! Hope to fly with you someday ...

Glad to see you back in the sky, Stefan & EYZ but we missed your buddy Milkshake also.
Great point about slowing down & have memories of Phillippe with you in London airspace.
You are a patient man with engine starts as many would be cussing at that point.
Love the Garmin navtech instruments, nothing quite like it.
As Guido Warneckie would say "Happy Landings"

It is a privilege to have the opportunity to enjoy aviation from the cockpit! Great reminder. Enjoyed the video!

Enjoyed! As a instrument student, I can't even imagine how far down the line it would be for me to copy an IFR clearance and taxi without ditching the plane! I usually get my clearance in the runup block for that reason! :) Welcome back! I LOL'd when you did the out takes on starting! haha! Happens to me sometimes switching between different generations of SR20's (G3/G6)--renting...Welcome back!

I am watching this while having a dairy free ice cream in the cold and my oat coffee. Hey Stef, glad to see you flying, i bet you really enjoyed yourself on this flight. Maybe because EYZ has been sitting in the hangar without use for a while that made it difficult to start. Thanks mate

Glad you’re back, Stef.

I’ve just spent FOUR MONTHS out of the air while my plane has been down for a refurbishment project. Got back in the saddle on Friday, and OMG I’ve missed it.

Hope you feel the same, and get your mojo back!

I haven’t flown in over a year. Sometimes life has different plans. Glad to see your back doing what you love!

Honestly the most stressful thing about flying for me if I go on a quick lunch trip somewhere is worrying about whether the engine will start again for my trip back home. Ive canceled so many trips because I just dont want to deal with hot starts. Incredible that we still use 1940's engine technology in these aircraft.

Sees Stef has uploaded
Me: Stef or kitchen, Stef or Kitchen? Kitchen first because he’s flying and needs to concentrate

Great to see you flying again! Seeing you trying to start made me realise how much I take for granted on how easy to start the Jabiru J160s are.
