I love how non-chalantly he says he was 11, and that Ron Swanson laugh is amazing.

All jokes aside, this is a scene to watch when you are trying to find yourself, or trying to rediscover yourself.

There should be Literally every time Chris says “Literally”

This is actually really good advice. Always better to be an expert in a few trades then okay in many.

I watched this scene in 2014, the following day I put in my notice at my job and went to work for myself. I've been self-employed ever since.

This quote of his will be my mantra to get through my pre-med and, hopefully, med school.

This scene popped into my head today because I realized I had been stretching myself too thin. Really great advice.

This is solid advice, bc what usually stops us from just pursing one thing is fear that we won't succeed so we try not to put all our eggs in one basket which just ends up having 1 egg in a bunch of baskets and never filling up the basket. We try our hardest to limit our chances of failure to the point that we end up failing because we tried so hard to avoid risk in the first place. Small risk, small reward.

He never said anything about not third-assing three things. I'll take that as a Ron Swanson blessing!

The aged 11 thing might slightly be exaggerated but not really. My dad born in 1967 was going to construction job sites at aged 5 and up and was hanging drawers and could read a tape measure and did work and summer work programs when he was 14 and up and could drive heavy machinery at 14 also. He was legally paying taxes at 15 after helping my grandpa with construction work since he was 5 often going to the job site and was also paying bills around 13 or 14. He left when he was 16 and worked so many fields and had several certificates and training. Was a construction foreman in charge of over 100 people on massive jobs and I still have the blueprints he kept for massive jobs like Walgreen's and YMCA's.

I tell my wife this when she is feeling overwhelmed and trying to do too much.

Maybe the best part of all this is that he was working at a sheet metal factory without getting paid

I manage a laboratory at my alma mater. Anytime we have an undergraduate make mistakes in trying to do too many things at once, I show them this video.

As someone who hasn't watch the show, I thought this was a quote about cheating in relationships.
