Whilst decorating my base with plants, posters, and vending machines I decided to put in a bar table.
Then i placed a chair and naturally thought to place a second chair on the opposite side of the table.
Thats when I realized how lonely I was.

One idea is to get the Grav Trap running early, and just dropping it underneath the life pod. The Grav Trap never uses electricity, so it will automatically catch fish for you. Free food and water

Probably the hardest start to a game ever. I couldn't get shit for so long

I'm a total noob, just started this game, but discovered that a fire extinguisher can be used to move thru the water quickly. Just look down and use, you will rocket to the surface!

I played about 30-45 minutes while watching the first bit of this video on repeat. I had batteries, knife, flippers, repair tool, scanner, O2 tank, two lockers and more coming. But I forgot to save 🤦‍♂️ and started a new game

I’m so bad at this game because I’m so terrified of the ocean, but this did help me get things going instead of just wandering around randomly

The floating airpump with pipes is one of my favorite items. I always place them outside of caves. That way I don't have to swim all the way back to the surface or pod.

for a begginer i also suggest making an air bladder or two for a bit of extra air and a way to get to the surface really fast

Thanks for the tips. I thought it worth mentioning especially if you don't have the battery charger.. Not only does the Power cell recharge. If you have a flat battery, take it out of the item, MAKE SURE ITS THE ONLY BATTERY YOU ARE CARRYING..! Then get 1 piece of titanium to construct a scanner tool.. the fabricator will then use the flat battery to construct it, charging the battery in the process.. Unload the battery from the scanner and chuck the scanner in a bin or overboard.. Costs 1 piece of titanium. :)

I tried this game once and the complete freedom made me drop it. After some weeks I decided to give it a second try and I really thank your video and your amazing work for helping me to enjoy such a good game.

2 tips
when you unlock it build the cyclops, despite it being costly to build and use it is a massive help in resource gathering. the other tip is make the important beacons/icons yellow, they are far more visible then something like red or blue.

OMG! Thank you! I've been playing for a few days, but after watching this I was able to get farther in a couple of hours than I ever did the first go-round.

I have been looking for a good, clear and in-depth guide for a week. This was spot on. Loved the on screen tips as well. Thank you.

Still watching this with 20 hours in the game because I barely have progress and I am too afraid to go anywhere but the Aurora, Islands, Grassy Plateau, Safe Shallows and Kelp Forests
I tried searching for the Mushroom Forests near the Blood Kelp Zone but stumbled near the Dunes, got the message and luckily noped out of there without seeing any Reapers
Not proud of it but atleast I looted every resource in said areas and can manage
