As an educator and a mother, I am constantly interested in new educational technologies that lower the entry barrier to complex domains such as AI. Low-code/no code systems and frameworks have been fun and enabling for early AI adopters. Today, I wanted to talk to you about The Embedded Vision Summit, that will be held in may, 22-24, 2023, in Santa Clara, California, and the insightful sessions on low-code/no-code tools that remove a significant barrier to deploying software solutions on hardware. The Embedded Vision Summit is the premier conference for innovators and engineers incorporating computer vision and visual/perceptual AI in products.

The first major topic that I am very interested in is “Deploy Your Embedded Vision Solution on Any Processor Using Edge Impulse” Amir Sherman of Edge Impulse. Here we will learn about Edge Impulse Studio, which is a universal development solution that supports a wide variety of processors and their tool chains along with GPU and other processing accelerators. This session will demonstrate the features and benefits of Edge Impulse Studio to quickly deploy vision applications on a wide range of embedded hardware.

The other session that I find most relevant is “How to Select, Train, Optimize and Deploy Edge Vision AI Models in Three Days” by Steven Kim of Nota AI. Here we learn about the product called NetsPresso that is a development pipeline that enables developers to build, optimize and deploy vision AI models fast. NetsPresso uses neural architecture search to find the best model for your application and hardware, and then trains the model in a hardware-aware manner to optimize accuracy and latency. It also applies model compression and acceleration followed by generation of executable code and packaging for hardware integration.
