I really appreciate these chord movement videos because it helps me get the sound of the harmony. This is what I like about jazz..so many interesting ways to resolve. This also seems to resolve to C minor as well.. Try Eflat Maj13 Dflat Maj13 Aflat7 Cminor 7 then walk up half diminished chords minor thirds starting from B, D, F add D as melody note and resolve back to C major.😉

Poor diatonic me could only think of Bdim7 and maybe Dbdim7 for a slightly outside chromatic sound? :)

I'm always given something I didn't know with Mr. Larsen's lessons, even the 1 minute ones.

Someone once said they struggled with the theory in a Rick Beato video.

Rick is great, but wait til they see what Jens Larsen can give them in 60 seconds. :) Best guitar teacher on YouTube.

I find that first C Maj 7 voicing difficult to play, the cool thing with these passing chords is they set you up for that shape.

I used to wonder what 'Voicings' meant in Chords. It is analogous to having a small group of three, four or more people singing the harmony tones as a small choir. One sings the top, one sings the middle and one sings the bottom melody / notes. When applied to the guitar (fretboard) a chord becomes much more than something that is strummed / picked. Harmonies have a direction because they have melody too. I like the harmonies (with melodies in them) in this video Jens. They sound different and creative. That's what it's all about. The ii - V7 - I Chords are the landmarks and the passing chords are the stepping stones. You can't go wrong.

It sounds goofy and you can't use it on other than solo arrangements
