At this price point and virtual analog polysynth capability, it feels like a competitor to microKorg, Mininova, Reface CS, MicroFreak, and maybe a used Alesis Micron/Akai MiniAK. Could depend on how it is “hands on” as opposed to a preset machine. It sounds as good as any of the synths listed above. I ordered the JD-08 instead, though I forget why. Icy pads? Even more tiny sliders? I don’t know. Thanks for video.

Sounds great but serious hum and noise problem with USB, and if you want to transpose a sequence, you can't do it from a Midi keyboard, you need to buy the Roland dock. 😡
