Here are a few patches I'm enjoying on the JX-08 boutique module!

Please please please do more videos of this! I pre-ordered this and the JD-08 and im so excited for both! There's not a lot of good demonstrations on this yet but yours was absolutely fantastic! You should definitely do more patches in the next video. Subbed.

Hey Matt - Awesome sounds! Very tempted by this but have a System 8 with JX-3P plugout. Not identical to the 8P but I think they;re pretty close. I'll have to explore it more now 😁 Look forward to hearing your new sounds 👍

Very nice demo 🙌 I was surprised to see its got 20 voice polyphony - as you wrote in a comment and I checked it on Rolands website to confirm it. That's brilliant. I thought all the boutiques were 4 voice like the Jupiter Juno 3p ones they made. So that's a nice surprise. I had a 8p but only for a month coz it was just two huge - the width of the beast. This looks tempting. How did you find the little faders? Anyway nice playing just subbed 👍

how many voices do it have. the stores say 8 or 20 and roland say nothing... so would be great to know.

Jx8p is not the best synth to recreate from Roland's history. But they are running out of synths to boutique I guess. Jx8p had a particularly uncharachterful but warm sound. The oscillators sound too perfect. They should have had another go at the Jupiter 8 but this time give it 8 note poly and a more accurate representation. They may well have the ability now in the chips they have moved too.

Having had a real JX-8P back in the day, I can now say: Not impressed.
Sorry Roland, but this sounds nothing more than a VST.
