Lightsaber BROKE! at Savi's Workshop - Galaxy's Edge

Because Disneyland had been closed for a year we decided to take our first trip to Disney World to see Star Wars Galaxy's Edge! We thought we were so lucky getting last-minute reservations to build a custom lightsaber at Savi's workshop. I picked Protection and Defense and my son picked Elemental Nature, and at the very end of the show during the finale my son's lightsaber broke and he was so embarrassed!

They couldn't pause the show so my son could be in included? I really just wish one of the cast members would have apologized at least, or maybe gave my little guy an extra crystal or something for the trouble.

The CM doing the main show didn’t seem to notice but I doubt they’d pause the show for something like that. It took them little to no time to come swap that blade out and for him to jump right back in. Also props to that CM’s performance when I finally got to build mine the main person was so robotic. This guy is probably living the dream for every group coming through. You can totally hear it in his voice.

wouldve been the perfect opprutunity for a cast member to be like "young one your crystal is corrupted you must not give into the darkside keep the dark out and the light will be your ally I will help you fix this right away"

Mine didn't turn on at all during it, my heart skipped a beat. The cast members came over right away helped me and even after they checked it out, they had another cast member double check it before leaving that area and apologized. Not sure with all the music and voices that they can wait or stop?? They continued as well when mine didn't work. Such a great experience to do together, sorry that happened to your kiddo.

He had a faulty blade, fortunately he got it replaced with a good blade. Sometimes at Savi's you might end up with faulty parts unfortunately but if you let them know they will replace them for you. I saw a video of this one guy at the finale in Savi's where his lightsaber kept switching off and on, but they fixed it for him.
