I noticed with all of the Disney made lightsabers, they have poor quality paint on them. That's a metal lightsaber, so it shouldn't look like plastic.

My lightsaber I made broke the blade wouldn’t ignite sometimes then it just stop processing the blade and the crystal over all the experience was still pretty cool so I agree it was 1000% worth it

I also chose Protection and Defense when I built my first lightsaber at Savi's Workshop. I guess I'm just old-school like the Old Republic.

You're forgetting the cost of airfare, hotel, tickets to Disney, food etc. For most people the real cost is closer to $2k

For me I’m not a fan of the new Protection and Defense pieces, I prefer the Old Republic look with the heavy weathering over the High Republic looking pieces that look pristine.

I do however approach that their new end caps use D-Rings over Covertech Wheels as the black plastic wheel always looked out of place on an ancient lightsaber.

I think the issue people have is that you can get comparable quality hilts for $50-$100, even with the experience that you get. It's like $120 worth of experience is what they are asking. The hilts look super plastic and cheap, I know they metal but even after holding one... They are not particularly heavy or as sturdy or feature rich as something like a neopixel.

I just did that exact build, except with a different piece below the emitter! It was a fun experience, but I think I’ll get a neopixel next - better overall build quality
