Great vid.
I actually did some research into A.I. for a paper I had to write as part of my degree.
John Lennox does hit the nail on the head:
-What many people call AI are simply databases or computers. Information on its own is not causal: these things require input to function.
-Genuine intelligence requires something far more.

In fact, just basic research can unveil a problem that is (just as John Lennox noted) something we have no idea about.
He put it this way: we have no idea what consciousness is: how to add and remove it, and so forth.

My research bore similar fruit, in similar vein.
Much like time and matter are co-relative (per Einstein), emotion and intelligence are co-relative: you cannot have one without the other.

Knowledge, again, is without causal power. Without the driving force of emotion, a database will sit and do nothing. Desire is required for something to think and plan and act on its own.
And we have no idea what 'artificial emotion' would even look like.
Sure, we have facsimiles of intelligence, or things designed to fool you into thinking they hold emotion.
Machines programmed to fool someone, or perform tasks with great efficiency per specifically designed algorithms (even if they are learning algorithms, they are still shaped at near every stage).
But to call these 'intelligent' is the same as calling a circus mask a face: you can see the similar outlines of it, but it has none of the inner workings: it merely is designed to look like the real thing, for one reason or another.

That's a profound statement that not explains where we are but where we're going with technology. That alone is more than enough reason to give pause for the further allowance of cameras and microphones in our homes and lives.

As much as I love online sermons and apologetics, there is a danger of some people not bothering with joining a phisical church and loosing the communion that gives. The online community might be one way that we're being softened to AGI and more easily fooled when it does come

One of my good friends is a programmer who worked on AI for analyzing X-Rays and other scans. Amazing and scary stuff.
