when i copy a file with ctrl c it is not copying nor pasting by ctrl v, what i do

Even though the scan concluded "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations, " my clipboard now works fine again after restarting for some reason--halleluyah!

No errors found. Did nothing. Bummed, have tried so many different things. I purchased (3) Acer Aspires 5734 a few years back. This problem just suddenly appeared. Seems like it was after a windows update or something (?) roughly 2-3 months ago, I now have this problem on each laptop. SO FRUSTRATING...I need to copy my files!

Am I supposed to reboot my computer

i figured reboot would fix it, anyway. i need something to fix it without rebooting! scan, then reboot? doesn't the reboot always fix it, anyway? not trying to be mean but i normally think rebooting will fix it, and am trying to avoid reboot.
