How to Sell a Stock in Fidelity

These last couple of weeks has been in the red with a lot of tech stocks going down (except Tesla!), so it’s best to buy! (do your research!) But if you don’t have enough cash available to trade with and you don’t want to do margins, maybe it’s time to let go of some stocks.

Capture the gains! Or even the loss and make up for it by buying stocks that’ll go up (do your due diligence!). But don’t hold stocks forever hoping that it’ll go up, especially those risky penny stocks that have been going down (this was GNUS for us...). Think about all of the other stocks you can make money off of if you sell the ones that you’re losing money from.

That Stock at $26.... could you have just taken a loss, set a limit order to sell at 5-cents below so if it dropped you'd simply cut your losses and use the pullout money on a new stock you've done more research on?

Hi, let’s say I wanna sell a stock that I bought at $20 and I would like to sell at 25 and collect $5 profit and on the same time I wanna protect my self and sell at $19 and cut loss . Which selling type on fidelity would allow me to do that please ? There is stop limit and trailing stop limit or none ? Thank you so much

At that time, it was going for $20

1 week later the stock increases to $25

When you sell the 2 shares @ market value will u be getting $50 back in your account?
