I love that, when you said " Change your friends, not your car", (though I don't have any car) ...

mixing love with finance is completely appropriate. doing otherwise is reckless. I'm not getting a spouse that doesn't respect my finance.

Seems kind of sexist to assume that the girl is going to be the money pit in the relationship. I am much more frugal than my boyfriend. He has no clue about how to handle money at all. I have been interested in finance and being frugal since I was in high school. I know much more about this topic than most of my friends and family. I'm a 30-year-old female who is living off of SSI because I'm chronically ill. I make well below poverty level and I'm still able to not only survive but save more than half of my income. I don't normally dislike videos but that little bit about the expensive wife just kind of ticked me off. Other than that I do agree with the other content of this video.

Money trap for men:
1) Getting married
2) Having kids
3) Having a girlfriend
4) Letting others manage your investments.
5) Thinking with your little head.
6) Assuming you'll always be broke and make bad decisions that trap you.
7) Putting yourself second, your mental & physical health second. Never be someone's meal ticket or work horse.

I bought a car because I needed something reliable, lasting for the next 10 to 15 years, and no repair bills for the next 5 years. I think I'm good

Ideally we all should have steady income by 30s or even late 20s reality sucks for some of us even in our 50s we still strive to make steady income to be actually something steady

I work 7 days a week and 3 of those days I work 16 hour days and I'm over 40 yo. I do this so I will guarantee myself to stay out of poverty.
