Checked a number of online help videos. This was the first to mention checking the cables to the drive. You've guessed it - the sata cable to the SDD was loose. One firm push and she rebooted. Thank you.

I just had a scare like this and I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH! My Bios is an ASROCK but your fix it tips still helped me (plus assistance by my eldest bro) reboot my PC today. My house had a power outage out of no where today that lasted almost 2 hours, and when I turned my PC on I got that system reboot message. I had to boot up my WiiU to find you! Thanks so much. I need to learn about Linux and I've been on laptops for years. I started my old 2013 Windows 8 desktop and I got the message 'Reboot and select proper boot device'. I followed your instructions and I found out that there was a loose connection to the hard drive. I then saw in Bios that the machine was not booting to my drive where Windows was installed. I saved and restarted and Viola! I'm so impressed with your simple and easy-to-understand video. Keep up the great work.

Thank you! That fixed it! I selected Windows Intel as the first boot option and that seems to have fixed the issue. Well, this specific issue anyway.

My girlfriend was on a training program online for homebased job when suddenly the computer restarted and we got this error message. I am not a computer expert so I did search right away for a solution through YouTube then I found this 3min video. She was able to get back on her meeting no more than 6mins. so i unpluged and repluged my sata cables then i took out the battery and reset it i open up BIOS and go to boot and i see SATA6G_2: SATAFIRM S11 (476940MB) and i see Disabled what do i do
