I keep seeing this video pop up on youtube and its the same dojo pro I got . hopefully you loving yours as much as im loving mine . I cut a 16 inch 2×4 block in half at the job and all the guys were like damn thats a badass katana . but I polished mine and got it looking really good now and I painted my rayskin with high gloss black paint and put 2 thick coats of lacquer on the ito wrap and shes looking like a champ . shes by far my favorite katana in my collection, and I have 6 katanas . my hsts tsunami is in a close 2nd place . I like it way better than my hanwei raptor shobu zukuri . but keep her looking pretty and know for sure that you have a beast of a sword . like I said before, I cut a 16 inch 2×4 block in half and it didnt even phase the blade. ! no chips or no rolling at all . I sharpened it and stropped it with some green compound and shes just a badass katana bro ! be thankful for what you got my man ! peace out !

The quality of steel on my dojo pro #17 model is crap . I did get it on the scratch and dent deal and the steel is a rust bucket . I cant put a mirror polish on it because the quality is shit . its a shame because they put it together really good and I love the tsukamaki but the steel quality is crap .

yeah I just got my dojo pro #13 model in about a week ago and I was totally suprised at the difference in geometry compared to the #17 model . #17 has a thicker spin and the diamond tip is fatter, so therefore the blade is a little on the tip heavy side . but #17 model truely is a beast and it has a little more sori (curve ) compared to the rest of the dojo pro lineup . but this #13 model is very sweet ! its got perfect balance and it maneuvers very well . the ito is very tight and I made sure to lacquer the ito to give it more durability . I did cut a 1×4 block in half that was like 12 inches and it cut the block so good that I didnt even feel it in the tsuka when I cut through that block . now im polishing it and I will do a quick buff on it and maybe run it over my 8000 grit whetstone a few times and give it a nice strop and that baby will be lazer sharp and ready to take on whatever needs to be handled . she's my main go to baby along with my hsts tsunami
