She let people say what they wanted and when she herself healed and was ready to talk about it people are saying “why are you dragging this out”, “he’s married now move on”. It’s never too late to tell your story just because it no longer fits on other people’s timelines.

This is why people who are involved in abuse related relationships or situations don’t come out and talk about it because they are always told to get over it and move on. You can’t tell somebody to get over being in a relationship that was damaging to them. That’s not your place!

Yeah Loni he moved on because he wasn't the one getting abused emotionally. Selena took most if not all the hardship from that relationship. I swear Loni is so insensitive. Let's not forget that he admitted to being the abuser emotionally.

Loni can come off mad immature and insensitive sometimes..if others responded to issues she's passionate about i.e. fat shaming and race relations with the callous disregard of "get over it" she wouldn't appreciate it. So show some empathy...

I feel like its hard for Selena because even though they broke up a while ago, it still seemed like he gave her false hope every now and then when we’d see pictures of them together all of a sudden. Then after a few months he married someone else. It’s like he was figuring himself out and Selena was collateral damage. I think its even more hurtful that Selena was there with Justin during his lowest times and then once he’s all changed he just spontaneously marries his “best friend.”

I totally agree with Jeannie in this. Some people don’t understand the toll that emotional abuse can take on someone. Some people blame themselves and beat themselves over and over thinking it’s their fault over emotional abuse. Some don’t even realize they’re being abused until it’s too late and all you wanna do is isolate yourself from the world and everyone. You can’t just “cut off” a healing process.. Only time can heal and you can take all the time in the world until you find the courage and the strength to get back on your feet again..
