Incredible that this is a first world country. Yes they're not used to much rain, let alone this. But it's still a disgrace from the local authorities. Valencia is not a war torn poor area. It had enough resources to warn people and prepare from weather forcasts.

Why does everyone always think someone from government is going to save them? Thats obviously never been the priority for governments.

no help from Governments worldwide after citizens experience catastrophic disasters seems to be a recurring theme. Western North Carolina, TN, GA, SC FL and now Valencia Spain. But somehow, there is plenty of money for war and political campaigns.

This is why being a lone prepper, or a single prepper family, will not work. You have to get _everyone_ involved. You have to convince your friends and neighbors to engage in prepping, just like you. Not guns and ammo, but supplies. Food, bottled fuel, medicine, clothing and other items. That way, if one household loses everything, someone else will have something to share. This is what people USED to do, a mere 80 years ago! Everyone had a pantry, everyone did home canning, everyone had _something_ to pitch in and help. There are many things from the past that we do not need to bring back, like racism and war. But creating networks, getting to know your neighbors and working together is something that should, and *must* be brought back.

At least in Spain, they did not cover up the numbers of deaths caused by the flood like Polish government did by saying that who ever drowned in the car is a victim of the car accident😔

My heart is so heavy. I was in Valencia three weeks ago and feel so helpless. Dear friends of mine whose homes are ruined.. businesses.. and lives lost. It is devastating. I am in shock and so angry

A catastrophic tragedy. All the more alarming, that this type of occurrence is going to be the 'norm' sooner rather than later. Climate change is a reality.
