DCS Heatblur F-4E Phantom flight demo rocket attack RAAF skin

I joined the multiplayer server he set up and essentially floated bodyless around the world, recording all the footage of the F4 in action, both flying around AND attacking ground targets at a nearby airfield.

The commentary is just us chatting & having fun, so don't expect a scripted & perfect video. This was just us enjoying the experience of the Phantom.

Note: John chose an RAAF skin for his bird. Most people don't know this, but the RAAF did fly the F-4E for some years.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) operated 24 McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II fighter-bomber aircraft in the ground attack role between 1970 and 1973. The Phantoms were leased from the United States Air Force (USAF) as an interim measure owing to delays in the delivery of the RAAF's 24 General Dynamics F-111C bombers. The F-4Es were considered successful in this role, but the government did not agree to a proposal from the RAAF to retain the aircraft after the F-111s entered service in 1973.

Well, actually... the RAAF did briefly fly the F-4E in the early 70's, to fill the gap between retiring its Canberras and the entry into service of its F-111C.
