Hi John.. great tip thanks. Also, like that tip of selecting one object and then CTRL+A to select all the other objects on the sheet.. will remember that one. Thanks for sharing these. Thumbs up!

Thanks for the video! In the current situation, people can still delete the slicer, however. Do you know if it's possible to let others use the slicer and make it impossible for them to delete it at the same time?

does this not work on newer versions of excel? I am pretty sure I have followed the steps exactly and every time the sheet will protect the pivot but still allow both to be filtered. I dont want the pivot to be filtered, only the slicers. any advice is appreciated. thanks

hi i enjoyed your video, although i have locked the sheet and all the good things that u told us, I can still 'click' on the slicer itself and move it around ( even though I have disabled the 'move and size' property as well. Any ideas, please ?

Hi for some reason, my slicers are still not useable after doing your steps.
Prompt message is "You can't use filters on this protected sheet. To remove protection, click the Unprotect Sheet button on the Review Tab"

Edit: Figured out the problem: I have enabled automatic protect of worksheets so I can run some Macros properly. Now I have to figure out that part.

It did not work for me. I can't use the slicers even though I unlocked them.
