Today was a great day! Not only did I get good news x2, I also got my hands on my first platinum piece, on top of that, my LCS actually gifted me 1 free oz of silver (kangaroo). I was totally caught off guard, I didn't think that generosity happened anymore in 2024. I can definetly say, It is worthwhile to build rapport with your LCS !

Old solar panels instead of being scraped are now being deployed in "secondary" installation solar farms as they can still produce "signigicant" electricity, So long as you have enough land, these can be purchased so cheap it doesn't really matter even if efficiency is poor compared to new PV. Just join up lots and lots of them in enough quantity and the electricity produced is still much more valuable than the cost of sending to landfill.
In Germany old 'scrap' EV car batteries are now being connected up together to power floodlights in football stadiums, they are no longer useful in cars but are cheap enough and the bulk weigh or size doesn't matter here to connect to PV as they are much cheaper than buying new batteries.

I have mentioned this to you before. In my Mexican City, there is a big Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant. They employ the Photovoltaic system. And they don’t use any Silver at all in their process of making Solar Panels. I know, because I asked them. And I was in Pharmaceuticals. There is a Silver sulfadiazine for treating injuries and burns, but it is not a big seller. They don’t even bother making it for the Mexican market.

Sal, the wife and I really liked this video, it explained the THREE prices of Silver and also brought up details of Samsung batteries and recycle of silver. Once again I agreed with you. ( I am a little old man so I forget) I also realized that the other day when I said I agreed with you mostly, I simply have a slightly different weighted factoring of how gold price is NOT high, the Dollar has simply lost value even more. But truly, I think the Central Banks buying because of Basel 3 accords requiring 6% reserves as a Tier 1 assets have more sustainable effect on the price of Gold. Thank you again!

Sal is absolutely right here. If silver becomes too rare and too expensive too fast, replacements will be found, hence lowering the demand for silver. If this recovery process comes online it will keep the industrial demand for silver robust. If silver stays available, the demand for, and price will be strong. Remember, a rising tide lifts all boats.

Good technology to recover Silver from Solar Panels. To make this recovery process economically viable for the recycling company to do their job effectively and profit, the price of Silver would likely need to be much higher for the success of any company doing this. Just when I start thinking about selling some silver this is a new thing to consider. Oh well, A thought of this or that and small moves will be taken with a grain of salt so as not to get into too much trouble and just continue along as I always have with one foot in the hot and the other in a cold one if I had one, LOL.
