I loved every scene with the hybrids. I am glad they didn't overuse them and get viewers tired of them.
The actress playing the hybrid, I could listen to her speak all day long.

The hybrid, and the prophecies given, were always such a haunting thing-and what Starbuck was said to be...the most haunting of it all.

Anyone else think that the actress who played the hybrid had the most stunning face. I mean no makeup, no visible hair, or body, yet her face is like something out of a sculpture by a Master.

I know this was a controversial plot point when all was said and done - and sure, maybe they had no idea what it actually meant or where it was all going. But when I was watching the show live I had it in my head that the phrase was two separate statements.

SPOILERS

Kara is the herald of the apocalypse and the harbinger of death... for the Cylons. Kara essentially died but when she is resurrected she leads them all to Earth 1 where they discover the first apocalypse. This devastates both Human and Cylon morale and leads to a Cylon Civil War and the destruction of their resurrection Hub - now all Cylons will know death.

"She will lead the human race to their end" was pretty straightforward for me. The end of their journey... Earth 2.

These are just my thoughts lost in the stream.

End of line.

Classic, and good story build scene; the first time, it got me really stoked.

Kara Thrace was a more of a savior. The human beacon to the new Earth. I never understood why she was called the Harbinger unless it was a misdirect created by the Cylon. I have watched the entire series more times than I can count and never could make an accurate, clear discovery about that meaning. Kara was a great character and certainly not to be trifled with. I didn't mind that it was never made clear what happened to her for the period of time she was assumed dead and how she ended up with a brand new Viper. Glad to see you are still doing video's. I thought we were going to lose you last year. I'm happy about that.

Even Katee Sackhoff said the writers had no idea what Starbuck was. She said they painted themselves into a corner.

It's years late, I admit, but I do like that you can tell what the hybrid is up to. Activating its threat detection matrix, transitioning to 'Dendritic response' which is probably in reference to Dendritic Cells - in this case that would be the Centurion. That or I'm overthinking, which is likely the case.

I remember watching this scene as it aired and loved when Kara was told what she was.

"End of line." A Tron reference, perhaps?

whats wild is at the end the centurions are still out there kicking it in the base star... so modern humanity could still encounter cylons. that is if they ever continued the show from that point

Is there any indication by the writers as to the rebel Basestar hybrid’s human origin? I like to think of her as Lucy, the little sister of Helena Cain, who was abducted by Cylons during the first war.

I followed the show but must have missed the part where they explained how the Hybrids fit into the Cylon development. There were 12 models, but wouldn't the Hybrids be the 13th?

Wonder why the other Centurions weren't alerted about this.

the olny thing I didn't like about this show is Starbuck storyline. If she was destined to guide them to Earth (she saw the warmhole in her dreams and painted it) why she had to die to do so? At the end of the show it's her recollection of a song from her childwood that gets them to Earth so she needed to be herself and be alive to remember. Making her die from basically suicide and come back as a ghost or an angel or whatever didn't make any sense.

I dont think they really discussed the hybrid during the series. As we know there are many copies of the clones (except for 7), so why just have one hybrid? What if something ever happened to it during their many battles with the human fleet?

Admiral Adama: We are at war. Find us some ammunition. Ans get Kara Thrace out of the Brig. Quote from Admiral Adama from the very point the Cylon destroyed the 12 colonies.

I think they were supposed to have met up with cavil and the cylon fleet at earth and a huge battle destroying both fleets but the civil happens and shit went different and they left earth and went looking for a habitable world

Where did the hybrid come from? And hybrid of what, human and cylon. Like Hira?

I never really got why that Centurion suddenly attacked.
