I want to explain what i understood about wish and if only. You Check up for me please.and after i will write my examples senteses about wish and if only.
1. I understood that we can use them to desires, regrets, futere expectations and dreams.
2. We must use past form sentences with them.
3. We never use "could moddal" about ourselves.
My examples:
I wish i could speak english.
(But i cant speak)
I wish you were my english teacher
If just only,
you would have been my teacher.( is this aright telling about would used or not ?)
And last, i want to ask such a question about what is meaning of the "i were", "she were", "he were" Why not "i was" or "she was", "he was". That is confouse. Because i am sure that we learned them i was, she was, he was.
