I WISH and IF ONLY | Common mistakes in English

When do we use I WISH and IF ONLY in English? Well, we use them to express regret. This means that we feel bad about something in the present or in the past. Something we would like to change, but probably can't. So, we use I WISH and IF ONLY to show other people just how we feel. For example, "I WISH I played piano". This is a present regret. I don't play piano now. We could also say "I WISH I had studied" piano". This is a regret about the past. I didn't study piano in the past (and I can't change the past) but I feel bad now. If we want to make that sound stronger, we can use IF ONLY. Let's find out more about expressing regret and using I WISH and IF ONLY in this video lesson.

I wish I learnt English on your old site for free. I was able to take some lessons before, but now I can't. I mean "STUDY" videos. I picked up a lot of useful language chunks, collocations and vocabulary. And I was so happy with it.

Hello! Question
Is it correct if I say: " I wish I didn't dye my hair red. If only I'd known blode was going to look better on me".
As far as I know, past simple is for present regret. "Didn't", but for the past I must use past perfect. Had + 3rd form of the verb.
Oh, and I wish I had studied English at a younger age :(
