I'm a pretty good pro tournament player, , everything blackrain says here is absolutely golden. He's exactly correct, if you do those things he says, you will crush low stakes tourneys. Less than 10% of people do what he describes at low stakes. Play like this and the remaining 90% can only beat you if they get lucky.

This is by far the most succinct and concise guide that efficiently cuts to bone of how to run really deep in online MTTs that I've personally ever watched. And I've watched thousands of poker videos.

Drill those 5 things into your mental muscle memory and profit. Just play it on a loop until you dream about it at night.

Definetly agree with avoiding coinflips in the early stages

I only 4bet/go all in preflop with AA and KK because if they 3bet they already usually means a really strong hand

Stumbled across your page about a week ago and you quickly became my favorite poker youtube channel. Been binging nonstop since then. Great work. All of your tips/strategies are bang on. I started playing in 2005, right as poker exploded on ESPN. Been obsessed since. Anyways, keep up the good work.

Last tournament i played, i never saw a hand better than trips the entire time and i won the whole thing. Never a straight, flush or boat at all. Sat at roughly an average chip stack all the way until the final table and then got more aggressive which allowed me to win while also rarely showing anything down.

This is great advice, i sent it to my brother and told him to watch all your videos, he said he feels like he is just throwing money away every time we have a poker tournament, I told him to study the basics before he tries to move up because a solid foundational strategy is key

I already knew number 9 and it got me through a lot of tournaments with players who just went all in on every hand.

Who are you defining "off-suit" hands for? If someone doesn't know what off-suit means, they're not winning a poker tournament, even with your amazing tips and high level analysis in their back pockets.

I have been watching your videos for a while now. I have been playing ultra-low stakes tournaments for a couple of years. Ultra-low as in freerolls as much as I can. Wsop has a $100 freeroll at 1pm and 9:30pm Eastern and I would recommend playing as many as you can just to get a feel for the game. Unfortunately, they are super-turbo which makes it hard to play normal poker but at least you can gain a lot of experience and if you hang with it you can get a couple of bucks for better tournaments. I would always recommend NOT playing turbo or super-turbo tournaments. Sure, the regular tournaments are a grind but at least you can play the way you are supposed to. I have managed to get within the top ten of a few $1 and $5 buy-ins so I can feel successful so far. No life-altering money but the experience is fantastic and, who knows, maybe I will try some of the higher stakes when my bankroll is big enough.

I've only chopped once in a tournament simply because I was tired and had already been up for 28 hours. But, being the chip leader with 70 percent of the chips with three people left, My bargaining chip was simple, I get 2/3 of the money or we play it out. And I will raise every single hand. Plus, we all knew each other and they were tired too.

Its important to recognize the players that are actually aware of the bubble phase! Otherwise the extra pressure is not really applied!
