This video summarises in 3 minutes how the Web was invented at CERN by British physicist and IT expert Tim Berners Lee in 1989, and how it grew to become what it is today, thanks to CERN’s decision in 1993 to keep it as an open standard for everyone to use.

I saw an old documentary about future predicted, and on a sort of old tv, there was displayed what i guess was the prediction of the internet. There it was called Wide Wide World (or whole wide world, three "w"s anyway, and not what it is called now). Seems to me some reason, it had to be three W's. Got me curious anyhow.

I understand this video wants to focus on CERN’s contribution. But it left out Arpanet.

What was the first version number of worldwideweb browser released on december 25, 1990? Was it 0.1 or 0.4? Please someone clear this confusion.

The question is, how old are the telephone cables? It seems that they are as old as the 1800s.
