You don't have to use baking soda, most powdery substance work. Even ash.

Could i use this to repair clips on a bumper. If i sand down the surface will it bond strongly enough to the old bumper

Try reinforcing it with a small piece of metal, like a wire, paper clip, staple, or such. Heat it up with a soldering iron and melt it into the plastic across the break. Then try the super glue baking soda trick over it.

This is crazy. I tried tk repair my fiances seat trim cover because the clips that hold it broke off so its hanging off. And it didnt work. I put it on after applying, and literally while driving the clip broke off again. Smh

its depend what glue are you using. not all glue can make a solid like that
