Imagine the day she discovers one can heal through art. I really enjoyed this interview. What an interesting father/daughter dynamic that was conquered with respect and love.

I did go to medical school. I put my art aside for a long time. I have recently retired and am painting again…art was a piece of my heart and got me through the ups and downs that comes with a career as a doctor and patient care. Would I do it again? I agree it’s important to be able to have something that allows one to pay bills while working on an art career, but you are right, a lot of burn out in medicine. No matter what career path one takes, if your gift is art, make time for it; one needs it for their very soul. Clearly, you made a good choice for yourself. So happy your dad came around to that.❤
