Once you clean that mess, clean the mess at city hall for allowing this.

People that keep protecting the homeless should share there homes and that way they can help them

The problem with the homeless is that they don’t care for your safety they don’t care if you get attacked because there’s no consequences and nothing to lose because they have nothing to lose.

It’s literally like this all over LA, but Hollywood and West LA gets the most attention.

“The city counsel set to vote on Thursday before going on Summer Break.”…….how about you fancy city counsel people keep working until you figure out possible solutions for these people. No, it’s not an easy task to figure out, but you’re the ones that took the positions you have and took on the responsibilities. Do your goddamn job. They may be homeless, but they’re also people that live in your State, district, county etc….Do your due diligence and take your “well earned” Summer Break AFTER you figure this out.

I thought the ADA required measured clearance and accessibility to sidewalks?

They ARE being offered housing AND treatment, whether it’s rehab or psychiatric/counseling and a large proportion simply refuse. What needs to happen is the LAW needs to be changed to deal with those who are dangers to the public, loiter in rights of way and public use areas and refuse all assistance and housing. Respecting the rights of the homeless is NOT this. I’ve worked with homeless vets for 13 years and it most definitely isn’t this.

Don’t worry about walking in the streets.. I would be more concern stepping on chit all over the city - “you Deserve what you voted for”

Provide affordable housing. Then you would not need an anti-camping ordinance.

Issues are rent, housing and food costs. These went up sky high and wages did not stay commensurate with costs. You cannot pay 2000-2300 a month for a 1 bdrm apt making 12 bux an hour lol. You are never going to get people off the streets unless you have low cost apartments to rent that are NOT ghetto.

I totally feel for people who are homeless having been homeless myself at one point. But at the end of the day, it’s nobody’s responsibility but our own to get ourselves out of that position and something needs to be done about these encampments.
