THE BAN ON MATATUS IN NAIROBI CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT HAS CONSIDERABLY UNSETTLED MATATU OPERATORS. HOWEVER IT IS THE COMMUTER WHO WILL BE MOST AFFECTED BY IT. NTV'S ROSE WANGUI SET ABOUT ESTABLISHING THE NEW DROP OFF AND PICK UP POINTS AND FOUND OUT THAT CITY RESIDENTS MAY HAVE TO DO A CONSIDERABLE BIT OF WALKING, ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE TO CONNECT USING PSVs FROM DIFFERENT AREAS.

There should be planning before chasing them away from town there are so many matatus they can't fit in those allocated areas.. Second issue security usiku it's not safe for people to walk nje ya town

It looks like Sonko's short minded. what about elderly people, people with disabilities or sick people. is not practical in anyway.

Imagine if we built light rail or even BRT. These matatu guys would complain they were not consulted... a 15min walk is not bad, lets first try out the idea and if it fails then its okay we'll try something else.

Let them plan for flyover roads to reduce jam, those leaders they know how other developed countries look like in terms of roads. is it that they are corrupted, they don't want to open good mind for mwanach, coz mwanach rare on matatu as employment to feed their family.
