South African e28 M5 were built in Pretoria plant in Rosslyn some specs went to Australia and U.K. guys never underestimate John Bowe statement. ❤🎉

You should've done your research before undertaking this video. The Australian delivered M535i and M528I had the option of auto or doglegg gearbox, no standard manual. Most of the RHD e28 MM5's weren't manufactured in south africa.

I once owned an e34 535i 5 speed manual, and pined for an M5. The boxy e28 is appealing .

Enjoyed your video. However, it's not correct that all RHD E28 M5s were manufactured in South Africa— in fact the majority were not. Production of both LHD and RHD cars was by hand in Garching, Germany. Just 96 German-supplied Complete Knock Down (CKD) kits were sent to Rosslyn in South Africa, where these specific RHD cars were assembled to a unique "fully loaded" South African spec.

They were hand built at BMW Motorsport.
