Evaluating a Natural Logarithm Without a Calculator ln(1/5)

👉 Learn how to evaluate natural logarithms. Recall that the logarithm of a number says a to the base of another number say b is a number say n which when raised as a power of b gives a. (i.e. log [base b] (a) = n means that b^n = a). Natural logarithms (ln or log to base e) are simply logarithms whose base is the exponential (e). The natural logarithm obeys all the properties of the regular logarithms. To evaluate natural logarithms, we either rewrite the expression as an exponential equation using the definition of a logarithm or evaluate using properties of logarithms.

Waste of time, you did not teach how to find the value, you just used property of 'ln'. The title of your video is misleading

But how can I solve -ln5 when I need an answer in number?

Hello. At 2:19 on the top left, there is ln (1x5^-1). Why not ln (5^-1) alone? Is there something I don’t understand?

But can we evaluate ln5 using the expansion ln(1+x)= x-x^2/2+...
So ln5=ln(1+4).x =4. Is it correct?

The movie doesn't show how to evaluating natural logarithm from 1/5 because result is -ln5 and this is transformation or simplification, but how to calculate for example ln5 or ln6 or ln29, ln30, ln1000 and other without calculator??? How to calculate naturals logarithm without calculator and obtain concret result, concret number? For example ln257 = ??? without calculator!!!

Hi, just one question, at 1:49 of the vid, when you split ln 1.5^-1 into ln 1 + ln 5^-1, how is it that 5 turned into a whole number, instead of 0.5? I also put it on photo agh and it said it was false. Can you please explain this to me?

(Btw I really appreciate your channel, it’s very helpful)

this is so confusing on so many levels, the problem I'm struggling with looks different ln(4x+6)-ln(x+5)= lnx

Hey If You want to find
Natural Log Of Any Number
Use This method
Let's Say a is A real number

Lim
X→0 ((a^x)-1/x)
Substitute closer & closer value to zero
For better Approximation
Of Natural Log
Have a Nice Day

You still didn't solve value for ln(1/5). Make it private dear 🙄

Clickbait. "Evaluating a Natural Logarithm Without a Calculator" is not describing what the video is. Evaluate means to find the value of the expression, here is not happening.
