No leaded gas was they had to change lead poisoning levels cuz lead is globally a surface trace element now lead water pipes require special water treatment that basicly cause a coating to build up and prevent lead from dissolving into the water if you remove all the lead the water doesn't req as much micro management and the water becomes cheeper
