That brought back some memories. I'm 63. In 1982-1983 I was stationed at Ramstein AB in West Germany, working on the C-5 and C-141 aircraft bringing Pershing II missiles to be stored in event of deployment. We had frequent protests outside the gate. The Nuclear Freeze movement got a lot of attention. We had explosions on and off base targeting Americans generally. I lived in town and really enjoyed what I was doing. Thankfully President Reagan and the Soviet Chairman started talking. My wife and I moved to a small 35 acre place in SW Colorado outside Durango and have been prepping for about 4 years. Thanks for your work!

One of the episodes of the original Twilight Zone was called THE OLD MAN IN THE CAVE and it was about a group of people who had survived nuclear war. One of them was hopeful and said that it was good that they were living and another more pessimistic survivor angrily said to him: "We have not been living, we have been SURVIVING". He made a big distinction between "living" and "surviving". He did not fully explain what he meant but my take on it was "living" means having some degree of joy and happiness in life and "surviving" was just doing whatever you had to do to stay alive but living a very unhappy and depressing life.

I really felt listening to Annie Jakobson on Lex that she was pushing an agenda: she skipped over the difference between ground burst and air burst as if it didn't matter. Red flag right there.

I did 20 years as a FNP in the Army...we had 6 months of training in my Officer Advanced Course with much of it on NBC warfare. Trust me nuclear war is very survivable

I agree with some of the other comments the lack of electricity alone and clean water will kill off 90% of the population in the first year, doesn't matter dick what the weather is doing - however if you understand that the coming pole shift and weakening protective magnetic field will result in massive power failures - prepping for a no grid - will look after the same results of a nuclear exchange so...Nate is right - just keep prepping and hopefully you'll be one of the 1 - 10% that survives NO matter what the weather is doing. Keep up the good work Nate.
