Sonos Roam is Dead and Won´t Start | How to Fix

If you are trying to use your Sonos Roam / Roam SL and it - for whatever reason - is simply not starting up nor accepting any type of charge this might solve your problem. At least it solved mine. No guarantees unfortantly, but figured since it helped me it might work for someone else as well.

I left my Sonos plugged in for a month on holiday. When I returned it was dead, nothing I did could start it. This trick worked perfectly. Thank you for sharing!

You, my friend, are a legend. My Roam has been doing this since I purchased it 3 years ago, and would frequently go off for months on end (generally after being used as a portable speaker rather than statically at home whilst on charge). I had all but lost hope for it, particularly as Sonos are still yet to admit there's any issue with these devices and their offshore support teams are woeful. I had conceded that this speaker was destined to be a very expensive black brick, sitting in my bathroom, whilst I awaited a day for it randomly spring back into life. Alas, that never happened, but from following the steps in your video, within 2 mins my Roam is now working again!!

I've no idea how long it'll last for until I need to repeat these steps, but at least I can return to singing along to some music when in the shower, rather than torturing my neighbours with my acapella renditions. ;)
