You have the best science demonstrations on youtube! Brilliant!

Nice demonstration of evaporative cooling. This is a similar technique they used when they found Bose Einstein condensates.

You've got to love the sizzling sound of Liquid Nitrogen as it boils and evaporates over warmer surfaces.

They are mostly ice most of the time, but at perihelion they receive enough light to create a thin atmosphere of nitrogen and methane which freezes out at aphelion. There are also geothermally powered nitrogen geysers on Neptune's moon.

You don't have to go to the ends of the universe to see it let alone the multiverse. You don't even have to leave the solar system, it happens on Pluto and the moons of Neptune.

Interesting, so the nitrogen is evaporating so fast, that it freezes?

beautiful, i hope it snows nitrogen flakes someday.
maybe its already happening somewhere in the multiverse

must be a pretty hard glass when it survive the cold shock without shattering.

i thought pluto and the moons of neptune where balls of ice with atmospheres so thins it could not snow

Where did you get that dewar? Nice video.

why does it solidify and not vaparise? i thought that lowering the pressure lowers the boilding point.

Why does it stops boiling when the pressure becomes normal?

can you make a video about superfluids?

Do you have a name for the vacuum flask? Or possibly a manufacturer?

I'm 32, I would guess probably 50 years or so after I'm dead.

What did you think I meant when I said "leaving"?
