As a citizen of SC I will continue to vote against Graham as long as I am alive.

There is winning the race, and then there is shifting the Overton window. Both are valid choices, both are worth funding. Sometimes the voters are smarter than the pundits.

Ok. Tell us which Dems in tight races need the money more.

Individual donors can donate to whoever they want; it's democracy. If Party was donating to unwinnable then that's a problem.

It's an interesting story and a valid point - but I don't see anything wrong with people putting up money towards a fight against the madness of someone like Marjorie Taylor Greene - even if it doesn't do much to bring about a Democratic win this time around. Especially when those people are, as is stated, small donors. It's up to the Democratic Party organisers to sort out big funding for the 'under the radar' key fights. Please don't give the impression that small donors wanting to fund a broad fight against the crazies are throwing their money away.

There's a good reason to fund Democrats in deep-red rural districts... to build the party infrastructure so it can find every single Democratic voter in the community and turn them out for the Senate, Governor, and Presidential races. They may never take the House seat, but 500 more votes in Georgia are 500 more votes regardless of whether they are in rural Georgia or in Atlanta.

But enough is enough. Fund the Democrats enough to do that work, but not by millions and millions more.

Hate how elections are based on funds... they should take the money out of politics.

All is lost if one abandons hope. Vote blue 💙 and save our democracy from the neonazi fascist republican party 🥳. 🥳 💙.

It may be an uphill fight but with these candidates being as nuts as they are, it’s a fight worth having.

So the problem is people are sending money to candidates they support? I think that is actually how it supposed to work. That’s why we need big money out of campaigns.

I get about 5 emails a day from Marcus Flowers. How could any Democratic candidate not win over MTG????

The NY 19th Democratic candidate was only given a 24% chance by 538 - and won the special.

If Republicans win Congress they will make Sporkfoot chair of the committee to investigate Jewish space lasers and Boebert will become Secretary of Education.

So, tell us who those competitive, necessary candidates are so we know to put $ there..Spanberger, who else?

Joe doesn't know what he's talking about. Georgia state wide races are now competitive. This is a very different from a race in a safe congressional district such as Green's GA-14 district.

People donating to individual candidates in individual races do so for their own specific reasons, those donations are nobody else's to redistribute in ways that they find wiser. When such donors think their donations will be used for other purposes, as one of your panelists said, those donations will dry up. If people want to donate to the party as a whole they will do so and the party will be free to use that money as it's wisdom sees fit.

The US is about to spend almost $10 Billion on this mid-term. There are 50 countries in the world whose entire GDP is LESS than this.

I do believe that given clear guidance as to which races a given donation would make the most difference towards a democrat-led majority, many small donors would be presuaded to help out. No harm would result from simply publishing those races that would tilt the balance ultimately. It would make every sense to do so.
