I placed my large sharing stone in the oven at 550 Fahrenheit for 45 It did not sizzle much or keep its heat enough to cook the steak. I had to place them on the grill to finish them

Hi just recently purchased 4 of the share platters, heated in the oven on max temp for 1 hr and 30 mins, was so excited to have the family over to use them! Did the sizzle test, all good, gave them a light coat of oil (no smoke or sizzle happened) but when on table and placed meat etc they did not sizzle much, and meat never sealed/browned, was disappointed! What went wrong?.. help?

Does it break if you heat it fast with high temperature like salt blocks?

My stones have an odd taste off them, that I purchased from Steak Stones. Tries cooking steak from different stores on ceramic heat and gas stoves ...

How long does the stone keep its temperature?

Usually steak needs to rest for about 5 to 7 minutes after cooking in order for it to be juicy as possible before you serving it, using this method resting won’t work, correct? 😜

Ok there is one thing that makes me uncomfortable here.... "heat the stones to 280-350C".... "Gloves rated to 350C" I like a little BREATHING ROOM on my ratings lol.... Especialy when it concerns upwards of 300C and my body...

Makes me laugh telling you to heat the ovem to 300ºC +.... most ovens only go to 280ºC at best! Only the very high end expensive ovens go to 300ºC+
