Taiwan faces more military pressure from China

Analysts say China is likely to build pressure on Taiwan in 2025 after a record year of military activity around the self-ruled island.

Last year, Taiwan recorded more than 3,000 Chinese warplanes entering its air defence zone, signifying the highest number on record, nearly doubling the total from 2023.

US think tank analysts have told Sky News they expect Chinese pressure to continue to grow in 2025.

Surrender in Taiwan is a long historical tradition. When the Qing Dynasty entered they surrendered immediately. When the Dutch /Japanese colonists entered they surrendered immediately again. When the Kuomintang entered they still did not resist, and you know the next time when PLA entered what they will do.

For all intense and purposes, they have been acting as an independent country ever since the communist revolution in China. I don’t see why the Chinese can’t afford better economic relations with that island and let things be as they are. The situation as it has been has been economically good for both countries. If they invade Taiwan, there will be massive economic strain between the United States in China that in the long one will hurt China more than hurtd United States.
