No Walgreens = no shoplifting at Walgreens. The company is solving what the local buffoons can't or won't.

This is what happens when criminals do not face ANY concequences of their actions.

Neighbors didn't fight for store. No reason for retailer to serve Neighbors.

Don't dare blame the pandemic for the reason this store is closing. People acting uncivilized are now reaping the rewards.

"we should've at least had a conversation with Walgreen's prior to their decision..."
It's a business, dude. Walgreen's is not a public service.

Don’t blame Walgreens. Blame the shop lifters and your city leaders

But the community refuses to punish the thieves so don't blame it when the store closes. When you shield them then you will lose the store ...

I applaud Walgreens, GOOD JOB!
The city needs to take responsibility and do something about it's crime problem.

California: "People can steal without consequences."
People: *steal*
Walgreens: *Closes*
California: "How could Walgreens do this to us."

If the city was tough on crime this store wouldn't be closing

If that Walgreens was so important to the community, then maybe the community should have stepped up and helped protect it.
Actions have consequences.

Did elected officials talk with Walgreen's, when they changed shoplifting laws?

When will people start blaming the thieves instead of putting the blame on Walgreens

And then they complain “nobody wanna invest in our communities “

This is beautiful, “we should have been told so we can solution around the problems they are having” what a crock. Everybody knows why they are closing and that no one in charge of the city is going to do anything real.

Those Walgreens aren't shutting down, they're being forced out.

I'd be livid if I were Walgreens. They had to pay off-duty cops to protect their stores?? The city wants them to just stay open, operate at a loss, and endanger their workers while they do nothing to address the root cause?

It sounds like you are blaming Walgreens when they are losing money hand over fist because of this

The Walgreens in beautiful Gary, Indiana closed, as did the one in East Chicago, Indiana. They can't stay open if they are havens for thieves!

I don't blame them for closing. And if crime isn't held accountable then the one two miles down the rd will close next.
